The work performed was the emergency service to modify the existing Fire Alarm Panel to address the need to replace (1) internally faulted sub fire alarm panel that was identified during service at Building 7. This building had a Fire Lite MS-4 conventional fire alarm panel and was replaced with a new Potter AFC-50 addressable fire alarm panel. This panel is monitored by main fire alarm panel for Phase 2 located in building 29 riser room. This required installing monitor modules at Building 7 riser room to allow for individual supervision of the initiating devices including a heat detector, pull station, wet system flow switch as well as the riser room tampers. These devices are monitored individually and will report to the new addressable fire alarm panel with their own separate descriptions. The existing exterior horn/strobe above the FDC on this building was also configured to only activate during a waterflow alarm. This modification brings Building 7 fire alarm system up to current city requirements.
